Meet the Coach

Rhys is a lifelong sportsman and dedicated coach with extensive experience across soccer, volleyball, netball, and weightlifting. After completing a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Southern Cross University, he refined his expertise through internships at high-performance training facilities in Coffs Harbour and Brisbane.

Rhys prides himself on being able to help anyone achieve their goals. From athletes looking to improve performance, to those who have never exercised that just want to get fit, no challenge is too great!

For those looking to achieve a specific goal, personal training allows for individual attention to maximise progress.

We work with people who want to improve their general health, learn safe lifting techniques, manage injuries/illness (with medical clearance) or improve athletic performance.

I have been training weekly with Rhys in a small group of senior ladies for a couple of years. He is knowledgeable and very accommodating of/patient with our various injuries and ailments and is quick to offer modifications or alternatives to exercises to suit. Rhys is an expert trainer across the community, working confidently with the young, the super fit, and those who may not be as fit (but soon will be!). His strategically planned workouts are fun and engaging, and you absolutely feel “exercised” by the end of each workout.

Rhys is naturally skilled at adjusting his planned circuits to suit each member of the group’s individual capabilities, taking into account injuries or temporary niggles. Rhys has a lovely manner and a happy disposition, and he is especially patient in his guidance. His skills and knowledge are clearly evident, as he is immediately able to suggest appropriate alternative exercises for almost all injuries and ability levels. I always look forward to training with Rhys.
